Mauritius: A robber of several service stations arrested
The staffs of the Mauritius Police stationed in the north of the island were on a war footing this Friday afternoon. Having spotted the suspects of several armed robberies in petrol stations on the island since November, the police deployed great measures to patrol the sector of Bois Rouge, close to the Northern Hospital.

A first patrol tries to catch the two suspects on a motorcycle whose license plates were summarily make-up. A police officer was wounded by bladed weapons during this attempt to arrest which went awry. The suspects fled in a nearby wood.

The two fugitives were then tracked by a group of police supported by the presence of a helicopter. A police deployment on the ground and in the air that has partially paid off in early evening, since one of the fugitives was arrested and taken into custody.  

The man passed quickly to confessions and recognized his participation in several robberies. His accomplice in the series of armed robberies is still actively sought by the police of the island.
