Mauritius: A new ecotourism park at Chamarel
The South of Mauritius will host by the end of 2014 a new park built at Chamarel and devoted entirely to ecotourism to the preservation of wildlife and flora of Mauritius.
 
The project initiated by the biologist Owen Griffiths cost 40 million rupees, almost a million. The new structure will focus on to honor the biodiversity of southern Mauritius on nearly 28 acres of land.
 
A protected area where already developing thousands of native trees such as Ebony Wood, Tamaka, Bois clou and others Bois de pomme.
 
A museum is also located on the premises and an educational component will enable school students and tourists to acquire scientific knowledge in this area and be aware of the preservation of wildlife and flora of Mauritius.
