Mauritius: A Malagasy smuggler arrested for heroin importation
A Malagasy citizen was arrested in the beginning of January by officers from the anti drug brigade of the island. Landed on last December 31 in Madagascar, the 32-year-old woman believed to have pulled it off and have foiled the controls of the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam international airport at Plaisance.

But she does not know that the police deliberately loosened the noose around her and followed her remotely. Specific information about this person was designated as a heroine smuggler. Then, arrested at a hotel in Mahebourg in the South of the island, to check the veracity of these allegations, the first search of the suspect luggage failed.  

The drug seizure goods value is estimated at 150,000 euro.
The anti-drug brigade police push further their investigations. Taken to the hospital for through examination, the Malagasy citizen then passes to the confession. 36 pellets of heroin for a total of 395 grams, she had ingested, were discovered in her body.

The value of the seized drug is estimated at 6 million rupees (150,000 euro). The Malagasy smuggler must answer for her actions before the Mauritian courts. Charged for illegal importation of heroin, she was placed in pre-trial detention.
