Mauritius: A French couple married again according to Indian custom
A French couple Thierry and Tamara Nieder celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary by remarrying last Saturday in Pointe-aux-Biches, according to the Hindu ritual.

In traditional costumes, sherwani for the man and sari for the women, the husband has reiterated their love in front of a pandit (Editor's note: priest) in a simple bungalow in the North West of Mauritius.

The ritual lasted a little less than an hour, including the purification by tika placed on their foreheads. Fifteen guests had also made the trip from France to celebrate religiously on the Mauritian ground the sacred union of the couple before the Hindu pantheon.
