Mauritius: A British woman kidnapped by five armed criminals for more than two hours during a burglary
A British citizen 51 years old who was alone in the house of a couple of British expatriates friends in Calodyne in the north of Mauritius, was kidnapped on Friday evening by five masked and armed robbers.

Burglars threatened to kill her if she did not cooperate and have held her hostage for more than two hours.

Burglars have laid hand on a large sum of money in foreign currency and many jewels after forcing the safe accommodation owned by a businessman from the United Kingdom.

Police in Grand Gaube and criminal police opened an investigation to get their hands quickly on this gang of criminals and put it out of state to harm again, as stated in the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
