A 33 years old Bangladeshi worker and working in a textile factory in the region of Port Louis back in the island after three months of vacation in his country was arrested last Friday at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam airport of Plaisance with nine kilos of cannabis carefully concealed in his luggage.
An operation in flagrante delicto of delivery of cannabis was also mounted this weekend in a village in the south of Mauritius but the vice police set up to challenge the alleged mastermind did not work.
The Bangladeshi worker will be presented today in court of Mahebourg prosecuted for drug trafficking by the Mauritian justice.
