Mauritius: A 7 year old boy bitten in the eye and on the face by a monkey escaped from its cage
The town of Petite Rivière, located in the North of Mauritius at ten kilometers of Port-Louis was the scene last Thursday, an awful tragedy.

A 7 year old boy was brutally attacked by a monkey who lived in captivity at a particular locality, while the young victim went to school with several
classmates.

Severely bitten on the eye and face, the boy was rushed to the hospital Jeetoo Port Louis where he underwent major surgery.
 
A second operation is scheduled later in the week, and that, in view of the severity of his injuries to the face level.
 
The police to Petite Rivière has opened an investigation to clarify precise conditions relating to the attack.
 
According to the family of the young victim who criticizes the culpable negligence of the owner, the monkey would have rushed over the child for no apparent reason, as stated in the newspaper Le Défi Quotidien.

For its part, the offending owner explained that the school group had fun teasing the monkey that was caged and annoyed the animal would have crashed through the roof of his cabin to fall on his young victim and bite.
