Mauritius: 73 million euros of foreign direct investment annually on the island from France

France remains a preferred partner of Mauritius on the investment plan.
Thus, foreign direct investment (FDI) from the hexagon represent each year according to the Ambassador of France to Mauritius, Laurent Garnier, about 73 million euros, some 3 billion rupees *, as reported by the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
As a reminder, the foreign direct investment in Mauritius have multiplied by three between the first and the second quarter of 2014.
Thus, the IDE on the island have assessed 6,028 billion rupees in the second quarter of this year against 1,898 billion rupees in the previous year.
* One euro roughly equivalent to 41 rupees
