Mauritius: 58 new chefs introduced during a ritual ceremony at the Mauritian Chef Association

The Mauritian cuisine has been in the place of honour this weekend, a four stars establishment implanted on the eastern coast of the island.

The Mauritian Chef Association (MCA), that had been created in 1998 and which regroup some 140 members on the island, introduced on Saturday 2 August 2014 some new members during the ritual ceremony printed of pride and solemnity.
58 Chefs which worked in different hotels of the islands took the oath to drag in plate and palate “the quality and respect of the culinary art by engaging to raise and bring out the Mauritian culinary heritage”.
The president of the Mauritian Chef Association, Mooroogun Coopen, executive Chef at the Le Canonnier hotel which belongs to the Beachcomber group and who has put on his apron at the head of the MCA in May has lately stressed that this prestigious entry in the association open to new members the doors of enrichment formations at the discover of further culinary technics to make their skill a sublime art at the service of a clientele gourmet…
