Mauritius: 5.884 tons of fish caught during the first six months of the year 2014

Some 5.884 tons of fish were caught in the first six months of the year 2014.
Inshore fishing in Mauritius thus represent 717 tons compared with 965 tons recorded between July and December 2013, as shown in the Le Matinal newspaper.
The fishing of tuna and other outlets in the shallow waters of the fishing bank of Nazareth and Saya de Malha are evaluated for their part to 5.167 tons in strong growth in the first half compared to the period between July and December 2013 where 2,499 tons had been accounted.
