Mauritius: 350 million euro from the French Development Agency to support the development of the island




 
The French Development Agency (AFD) has allocated a loan amounting to 14 billion rupees (350 million euros) to the Mauritian Government in the context of sustainable development and renewable energy on the island as well for the development of infrastructure in Mauritius.
 
The AFD has also agreed to a loan of 40 million euro, or approximately 1.6 billion rupees for the Mauritian banking sector which will be injected for loans to individuals and businesses in the wake of the development of green economy in Mauritius, as indicated in the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
