Mauritius: 264 associative and communal sites served for free by technology Wifi

The Ministry of technology and of Mauritius Information is currently working with the Mauritius Telecom operator for free coverage, via the Wifi of Orange network, of 264 sites dotted across the island.

Community centres, non-governmental organisations, youth centers, buildings of villages councils, training centres and the party rooms should eventually be connected to Wifi technology to be able to surf freely on the Internet in computer clubs specially created for this purpose.

Rural regions and localities on the outskirts of the big cities will be served first, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
