Mauritius: 141 665 tourists visited Reunion Island in 2014

While for several days the authorities had reported that 2014 had seen the one million mark tourists in Mauritius been exceeded, official figures from Statistics Agency were announced this past week.
It is thus 1,038,968 travelers who visited Mauritius last year, representing growth of 4.6% compared to tourist arrivals recorded in 2013 and its 993,106 tourists recorded.
In 2014, European tourists were 570,548 who have gathered on a trip to Mauritius, including 243,665 visitors from France. 141,665 Reunionese tourists have also made the short trip from the island sister.
93,120 South African travelers and 158,361 Asian travelers, including 63,365 Chinese tourists were also counted.
