Mauritius: 11 dengue cases reported since the beginning of October at Plaisance airport
Mauritian authorities are vigilant after 11 dengue cases have been detected since the beginning of October to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam of Plaisance by the health services of the island.

11 passengers returning from Mauritius and India were carriers of the disease transmitted by the "tiger mosquito" Aedes albopictus.

Special attention to travelers from Great Peninsula is now placed on the flights arriving.

The Ministry of Health of the island Mauritius nevertheless stresses that the dengue virus “has not spread," as related by the newspaper Le Défi Quotidien.
