Mauritius: 1,000 babies born through in vitro fertilization in the island in 2014

For some couples who wish to assume the role of parents conceive a child it is not easy due to fertility difficulties for many women in Mauritius. 10% of women of the island have thus problems to give birth to offspring by letting nature do the miracle of life.
Last year thanks to assisted reproduction (LDCs), about 1,000 infants were conceived in Mauritius through in vitro fertilization. A real joy for new parents, because in only 30% of laboratory the fertilized embryos remain in the walls of the uterus and develop a viable fetus.
