Madagascar: spiny Toad listed for the first time in the East of the Island

Spiny toads from Asia were listed for the first time since two weeks in Tamatave, Vatomandry and Brickaville in the East of Madagascar.
The adult frogs secrete a toxin particularly irritating to humans.
Local authorities are on the alert after noting a growing increase of amphibians in this region of the big island and reinforced sanitary controls in the port of Tamatave, place of arrival of the first spiny toads in containers of imported goods, as reported by the newspaper the news of the Madagascar.
As a reminder, the spiny toads from Asia can lay 40,000 eggs twice a year.
