Madagascar: WHO alert the population about a possible proliferation of plague in the Island

The World Health Organisation (WHO) calls the population of Madagascar to be vigilant in the wake of possible proliferation of plague in the Island.
Malagasy people are invited to take hygiene measures which are required, as indicated by the site.
Bubonic plague experiencing thus a strong surge from the month of October with the beginning of the first heat of the austral summer and a relative humidity that will emphasise over the heavy rainfall season that strike Madagascar.
300 to 600 cases are reported each year in the Island between October and March.
Prevention centers for disease control (CDC) based in the United States estimate that approximately 5 million people in the highlands of Madagascar may be exposed to infectious disease.
