Madagascar: Twenty thieves of zebus fall under the bullets of the police during a violent clash

About twenty thieves of zebus (dahalo) have been slaughtered this weekend by the security forces in Ebelo Amboasary, in southern Madagascar.

Hundred dahalo armed with Kalashnikovs and shotguns attacked on Saturday morning the village of Kapila and laid hand on 120 zebu before fleeing the scene.

Quickly alerted, armed forces and gendarmes launched their Kit and a few hours later a violent clash between security forces and the fugitives made a score of dead on the side of the thieves of zebus.

Despite heavy losses, the dahalo have continued to fire on the armed forces and gendarmes who, short of ammunition, had to turn back.

Sunday, reinforcements were sent and deployed in the zone to continue hunting temporarily suspended the day before, as related by the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.
