Madagascar: Thieves of zebus kill villagers and burned more than 50 houses in the southeast of the island

Mandarano Amboasary-sud village in southeastern Madagascar Anosy region was the scene last Thursday around midday, a violent attack by thieves of zebus (dahalo) armed with 60 shotguns, sagaies and machetes.

Four villagers were killed defending their property and 54 houses were burned.

250 people who have almost lost everything have been identified and now call upon the authorities to permanently stop these attacks of dahalo.

Thieves of zebus have also left after the pillaging of houses spared by the flames, with sixty stolen cattle, as indicated by the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.
