Madagascar: The marketing decision of black gold of the deposit of Tsimiroro approaches

Madagascar Oil still allow time for reflection on the final choice of marketing at the end of this quarter or the next, the Tsimiroro oilfield located in the West of the Island, in the heart of region of Morondava, as shown in the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.
"We are encouraged by the latest results of pilot project of continuous vapor injection, which emphasise the positive response of the reservoir to the techniques of thermal recovery, and the prospect of commercial viability of the full development of the site Tsimiroro. We have taken some milestones this year, including the commissioning of the third steam generator, completing the tests have demonstrated the operation of steam generators with 100% crude oil of Tsimiroro, exceeding the cap production of 60,000 barrels of oil and the continued registration of any major incident in 2013, "said a statement from the Director of Madagascar oil, Stewart Ahmed.
According to the prospects contemplated 10,000 wells of steam injection term should achieve a daily production of 150,000 barrels in less than a decade.
The large-scale commercialisation, with pipeline infrastructure and other port facilities could be considered on the horizon of 2019.
As a reminder, the Tsimiroro oilfield is operated by Total, which holds 60% share, against 40% for Madagascar Oil.
