Madagascar: The global environment facility grants 30.140.000 dollars to the island

In the wake of the 5th General Assembly of the Fund for the global environment (FEM) which was held in late May at Cancun in the Mexico, the institution has allocated funding to Madagascar for the next four years amounted to 30.140.000 dollars.
The Malagasy authorities shall use these funds to counteract the effects of climate change in the island and protect the biodiversity of Madagascar, as reported by the Midi Madagasikara newspaper.
As a reminder, the Minister of the environment, Anthelme Ramparany, was present at the head of a delegation in the work of the 5th General Assembly of the FEM.
