Madagascar: The former president of Transition Andry Rajoelina, does not recognize the legitimacy of the new Prime Minister

The former president of the transition from 2009 to 2014, Andry Rajoelina, has recently claimed not to recognize the legitimacy of the new Prime Minister of the Big Island, Jean Ravelonarivo appointed on Wednesday in late evening by the President of Republic, Hery Rajaonarimampianina, replacing Kolo Roger.
Andry Rajoelina thus argues that the choice of the new tenant of the palace of Mahazoarivo has not been done according to Article 54 of the Constitution which states that it is the majority political party or group on the benches of the National Assembly to present their candidates to the Head of State.
"We urge the president to respect the Constitution. We call upon the people of Madagascar to be witness the current situation. And we call on the international community to observe the actions on the appointment of the Prime Minister. So in conclusion, we do not accept the appointment of the Prime Minister, "said the former president of Transition.
As a reminder, four political parties of the opposition coalition in Madagascar claim to have a majority in the National Assembly of 80 deputies.
