Madagascar: The former president, Marc Ravalomanana, called the president and the slinger deputies to bury the hatchet

While Marc Ravalomanana has benefited in early May with a total waiver of his assignment of house arrest which was effective since his return from exile in October 2014, the former Malagasy President ousted in 2009 invited the president and slinger deputies to bury the hatchet.
In these troubled political times, the former strong man of Madagascar called for dialogue between both parties and that a stability pact for the country be officially recorded between the different protagonists. Marc Ravalomanana also said being neither for an impeachment of the president, nor for the dissolution of the National Assembly by Hery Rajaonarimampianina, as permitted by the constitution.
As a reminder, 121 of the 151 elected deputies sitting in the National Assembly of Madagascar have voted by a large majority on Tuesday for the dismissal of Malagasy President Hery Rajaonarimampianina. The parliamentarians of the Lower House accused the head of state of violating the constitution.
The Supreme Constitutional Court has to decide in mid-June on the revocation proceedings initiated.
