Madagascar: The authorities are requesting international assistance after the passage of the tropical storm Chedza

After the passage of the strong tropical storm Chedza over Madagascar on 16 January, local authorities call for international assistance.
The damage from this major natural disaster were evaluated at more than 32.9 million euro with significant consequences on agricultural land completely ravaged by the meteor, including 25% of rice crops that have been destroyed in Madagascar.
As a reminder, 68 people were identified and some 134,000 victims were listed. Gusts of over 130 km / h and torrential rains were recorded during the Chedza passage on the Island.
