Madagascar: The United States has release more than 62 million dollars each year for the island

The Malagasy president Hery Rajaonarimampianina met on Tuesday at the Iavoloha Palace, the new Chargé d'affaires of the United States in the island, Stephen Anderson.
The latter was recently nominated for three years in Madagascar and will be stationed in Tananarive.
The two men discussed the strengthening of cooperation between Madagascar and the United States.
Stephen Anderson also said to the Malagasy President that the United States has put forward each year 163 billion ariary (62.362.342 dollars) to support social policy in the island, as reported by Midi Madagasikara.
"I'm very happy to be in Madagascar, because I was waiting two years for this event, and also to meet for the first time, a Grand statesman democratically elected... I pass in the name of the American President, congratulations to the location of the Malagasy President to good governance in Madagascar", he said to the press.
