Madagascar: The Office Support for the Consolidation of Peace of the United Nations is committed to the Island

The Malagasy President Hery Rajaonarimampianina received on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, a delegation from the Office of the United Nations Support for the Consolidation of Peace (BACP).
"We are in Madagascar to provide rapid support and tailor interventions to urgent peacebuilding in post-conflict countries," said Brian Williams, an officer in the BACP responsible for financing of eligible states.
The UN delegation was led by the Permanent Representative to Madagascar, Fatma Samura. The purpose of this movement on the island was to study the priority needs to consolidate civil peace and constitutional order in Madagascar.
