Madagascar: The Malagasy authorities want to preserve the richness of the aquatic fauna of the Island

The Malagasy authorities want to repopulate the endemic aquatic fauna victim of over-exploitation of living aquatic resources, and are currently working in partnership with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for the preservation of the richness of marine environment and the rivers of Madagascar.
This will include 58 endemic fish species in the Great Island who live in fresh water and six other threatened species in the saltier waters.
The Aquaculture development center implanted on the side of Majunga is already working for the conservation and restocking efforts of endangered fish species.
