Madagascar: The Malagasy authorities want to exceed the 300,000 tourists in 2015

The Malagasy tourism authorities want to overcome the bar in 2015 300,000 tourists and also reach a million visitors to the Island by 2020. The Minister of Tourism, Ulrich Andriatiana, has clearly defined the goals, but that cannot be realized without better air service to the destination.
"We already have the cultural and natural assets for attracting foreign tourists. But we also need infrastructure and regular transports ..." said Ulrich Andriatiana.
In 2014, some 220,000 tourists visited Madagascar, far from the 400,000 passengers recorded in 2009. As a reminder, 255,942 tourists were welcomed in Madagascar in 2012, nearly 29% went to the island of Nosy Be, and approximately 198,816 visitors have traveled to the Island in 2013.
