Madagascar: The Malagasy army guarantor of the constitutional respect in these turbulent political times

While the High Constitutional Court has to decide in mid-June on the forfeiture of the Malagasy President Hery Rajaonarimampianina, the Malagasy army has lately commanded that everyone keeps calm in these times of agitated policies in the island.
"We reiterate our attachment in respect for the republican values and the democratic principle. We warn and promise that we will not allow any attempt to unconstitutional change in all forms, civil or military, that may cause a new crisis," pointed out the military leaders.
Any act of destabilization or subversion will not be tolerated by the military guarantor in respect for the constitutional institutions.
As a reminder, 121 of the 151 elected deputies sitting in the National Assembly of Madagascar have voted by a large majority on Tuesday to the dismissal of Malagasy President Hery Rajaonarimampianina. The parliamentarians of the Lower House accused the head of state of violating the constitution.
