Madagascar: The French company Labomeca wants to revive its hydraulic turbines by 2015

Over 85% of the Malagasy population are deprived of electricity in the island.
Investors particularly want to capitalise on hydroelectric power and renewable energy to support the development of Madagascar.
The general manager of the Labomeca company *, Patrick Labouesse, today puts forward the main advantage of water with 30 potentially exploitable sites to provide hydro-electric power in Madagascar.
The Labomeca Company has thus decided to activity on the horizon of 2015 its hydraulic turbines that can produce 10 to 500 kVA (kilovolt).
* French industrial company located in Madagascar since 2002 and specializing in machining, renovation and manufacture of hydro-electric, construction, installation as well as maintenance of generators
