Madagascar: Surprise meeting between the former president of the Transition, Andry Rajoelina, and US Ambassador in the Island

The former president of the Transition from 2009 to 2014, Andry Rajoelina, and opposed to the current government, met on Wednesday in his residence of Ambatobe (Tananarive) the current US ambassador in Madagascar, Robert Yamate.
Seen as a putschist in 2009 by the United States after the unconstitutional ousting of President Marc Ravalomanana, the leader of the Orange Revolution in the Island is now recognized as an important player in the US diplomacy.
For many Malagasy political observers, this meeting is certainly a turning point on the local political chessboard and this interview between Andry Rajoelina and Robert Yamate might be a serious thorn in the flesh for President Hery Rajaonarimampianina.
