Madagascar: Rajoelina with family on the Champs-Elysées

The former President of the Transition in Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, at open war with the newly elected president, Hery Rajaonarimampianina, he accused of treason, was seen last Tuesday in Paris on the Champs-Elysées, as indicated by the newspaper Midi Madagasiraka.
Andry Rajoelina was in the capital with his wife and children.
For the newspaper Midi Madagasiraka, "the presence on French soil of the former President of the Transition reflects the effectiveness of the lifting of sanctions against 109 individuals of the High Authority of Transition targeted by the international community."
As a reminder, last June the French government had banned the entry of Andry Rajoelina, Didier Ratsiraka and Ravalomanana Lalao while they wanted to run for Presidency of the Malagasy Republic.
The French authorities thus blamed the three personalities from keeping to present themselves, despite pressure from the international community and the European Union for their withdrawal from the presidential race.
The prohibition of French territory was also applied by extension in the whole Schengen area, with the recent establishment of information system and centralization of Schengen visas.
