Madagascar: Over 52,000 tons of cane milled in the Island

While the cutting of canes began in mid-June in Madagascar, sugar factories of the Island have collected till the beginning of August 2015 some 52,564 tons of sugar cane.
The scheduled sugar campaign ending in October should pick up approximately 201,271 tons of cane to be milled. In 2014, nearly 100,000 tons of sugar had been produced, of which 85% of brown sugar.
