Madagascar: One million dollars for the eligible Malagasy exports to AGOA

According to the American ambassador in the Island, Robert Yamatethe value of the Malagasy exports in the wake of AGOA - since the Island returned in June 2014 in the African Growth and Opportunity Act allowing for exemption of rights customs for the Malagasy textile products to the United States - is estimated to be one million dollars.
The Malagasy authorities expect the creation of approximately 200,000 jobs in the country over five years.
As a reminder, thirty SSA countries benefit from AGOA for their export products of the textile industry towards the United States.
