Madagascar: Nearly 50% of registrations in Tananarive were recorded for two-wheelers

Almost half of vehicles registered in Tananarive for the third quarter of 2013 are motorbikes, according to figures from the national Institute of statistics (Instat).

49.3% of registered vehicles are motorcycles, more than 2530 machines with 76% of new engines that are in circulation in the Malagasy capital.
Registrations of two-wheelers in Tananarive have thus increase of 5.1% compared to the previous quarter, as shown in the newspaper the Courrier of Madagascar.

These figures could be explained by recurring congestion of the Malagasy capital as drivers of two-wheeled necessarily want to avoid the handlebars of their mechanical sneaking in car traffic stuck of Tananarive.
