Madagascar: Lobster fishing at Sainte Luce opens again

After nine months of fishery closures for lobsters within the three villages of Sainte Luce situated in the South East of Madagascar, fishing of these large crustaceans with flamboyant dress has again been authorized since Wednesday July 1st.
The first two days of fishing have been particularly interesting for fishermen, with respectively 227 kilos and 518 kilos of lobsters caught in 48 hours.
As a reminder, fishermen of Sainte Luce village are the primary producers of the lobster fishery.
