Madagascar: Laza Razafiarison, candidate for the presidential election sentenced to two months imprisonment, suspended after taking part in an anti-government demonstration

Following his muscular arrest by security forces in Tananarive early last week, with seven of its activists during a protest against the Government of Transition, Laza Razafiarison, candidate in the next presidential election in Madagascar was condemned just like his other companions in the struggle by the court Anosy to two months imprisonment.

In appealing the court's decision of Anosy within ten required days with a process that is expected to last 6 months due to a suspension clause well as also possible cassation, Laza Razafiarison could thus run the chair of President the Republic, as stated in the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.
"If the procedure was faster than expected, it would mean that there is an indirect attempt to eliminate me from the race", has warned Laza Razafiarison.
