Madagascar: Japan funded the construction of classrooms for more than 84.000 euro

The Japanese Government is continuing its financial cooperation with Madagascar in "assistance program grants to local micro-projects contributing to human security".
The Embassy of Japan in Madagascar thus granted a further donation of more than 84.140 euro in respect of its financial contribution to help the population living in the rural commune of Tanjombato, in the region of Tananarive.
Thus, the project financed by the Japanese authorities concerning the construction of a new building with six classrooms in the primary school of Ambohimanatrika district.
"The Japanese government is willing to strengthen cooperation as soon as the next government will be formally established. We are committed to expand our areas of intervention in agriculture and infrastructure development as well as make every effort to support NGOs and local communities to improve the lives of people, "recalled the chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of Japan, Kakuda Takanari.
The signing of the financing contract has been signed earlier this week in Ivandry between the first magistrate of the town of Tanjombato, Maurice Rakotondrabe and the charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Japan, Kakuda Takanari.
"The seven old halls are currently in a state of disrepair and no longer meet the standards to provide a decent education to 535 students," said on his side the school principal, Bruno Falisoa Rajoharimanana.
