Madagascar: Ivato International Airport shortly audited in the fight against illegal exports

The Malagasy authorities have lately decided to proceed with a full audit of the Ivato airport, situated at about fifteen kilometers from Tananarive.

The excessive number illegal exports of gold, turtles and other dried seahorses from the international airport and the multiplication of trafficking have convinced political power to take the necessary measures by Improving the Security and safety to the heart and in the vicinity of the terminal building.
"This audit allow detection of loopholes in the control system, which facilitate the release of resources outside. But other measures will also be establish," said François Marie Gervais Rakotoarimanana, Malagasy Minister of Finance and budget.
