Madagascar: Israel sends tons of cookies as “fortifiant” for 10,000 children in the south of the country

While southern Madagascar has been hit hard earlier this year by a severe drought and famine, the Israeli government sent three tons of food supplements in the form of tonics biscuits.
Some 10,000 children will be able to regain strength with a shipment directly entrusted to the care of the Malagasy Red Cross.
Famine known locally “kéré”; food security threatened in April between 200,000 and 350,000 inhabitants in that part of the Great Island.
