Madagascar: Infantile malnutrition proliferating in the Island

Almost half of children under 5 years (47%) are victims of child malnutrition on the Island.

Children living in rural areas are the most affected, with a rate of 49% against 39% for those residing in urban regions, as indicated by the Midi Madagasikara newspaper.
Furthermore, one out of four infants aged between 0 and 6 months and over 50% of infants between 18 and 23 months suffer from malnutrition and this, with a higher prevalence in girls than boys.
