Madagascar: A new protected area in the southwest of Great Island

The region of Atsimo - Andrefana in southwestern Madagascar is home to a sanctuary for wildlife in the Great Island.
After that of Tsijoriake , the protected area is Amoron'i Onilahy recently became a fully protected area of ​​Category 5 according to the classification established by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN ) .
The protected Amoron'i Onilahy area hosts 79 species of birds, 27 species of mammals including a great majority which is endemic and 55 species of reptiles, including 19 found only in this region of Madagascar.
