Madagascar: A man killed in Tananarive by the homemade bomb that he made
A 42-year-old man was killed, on Monday afternoon, in the explosion of an explosive device in the center of Tananarive, in the Ambondrona district, while he was trying to make a homemade bomb in a house.

Weapons, including a Kalashnikov, ammunition, sabers, and grenades as well as all the material used in the manufacture of explosive (detonator, wire, battery) were found in the home.

The security forces are a direct link with the previous explosions that shook Tananarive since September 4, but does not exclude that it has benefited from complicities.

Two homemade bombs had already exploded in the heart of the capital, no casualties, and security measures had been strengthened in recent days. Another engine had also defused just in time.

As a reminder, the first explosion which damaged a hotel had been claimed by a mysterious group calling itself "defenders of national sovereignty".

This group blamed the international community its interference in the electoral process after the disqualification for the next presidential election of the three ex-favourites (Andry Rajoelina, Lalao Ravalomanana and Didier Ratsiraka).
