Madagascar: 4 million unemployed and 94% of the active population work in the informal economy

According to recent study by the International Labour Office (ILO), 94% of the active population in Madagascar operate in the informal sector in the Island and are thus not reported.
Unemployment today affects in full force 4 million people in Madagascar.
At the same time every year, between 400,000 and 500,000 young people enter the job market and join the ranks of the unemployed in the Big Island including many graduates.
Thus many people plunge into the informal economy in explosion in Madagascar and become especially hawkers trying to survive.
