Madagascar: 28% of children of school age do not attend school

According to figures very recently communicated by the Malagasy Ministry of Education, 28% of children age to be on school benches are not enrolled in any school of the Island.
The various enrollment campaigns in the country have been beneficial in 2013 and 2014 for some 15,000 children who were able return to the path of wisdom and knowledge in Madagascar. Nevertheless, more than two million children have already started to enter the working life despite their young age and no longer attend the Malagasy schools.
As a reminder, 4,403,000 pupils, 1,144,000 college students and 263,000 high school students are identified in Madagascar.
