Madagascar: 22.5 million dollars released by OFID

Two loans totaling 22.5 million dollars have been allocated to the Malagasy authorities in mid-June by the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), as recently formalized the Cabinet.
Thus, 7.5 million dollars will be released to support and develop agricultural infrastructure of Melaky region located on the west coastline of the Island. A dam across the river will be particularly Beboka constructed to power an irrigation of lands system. 
The Diana regions in the extreme north of the country and Atsimo Andrefana in the Southwest of the Island will also undergo better electrification of the network already in place. Two million inhabitants are concerned by the rehabilitation of the stream lines and the expansion of new lines. These infrastructure projects will require an investment of 15 million dollars.
