Imelda intensifies again to Strong tropical storm; Mauritius is in alert 2 and Reunion in pre-cyclonic alert
Imelda is experiencing since Saturday a revival of intensity, with favorable environmental conditions. The low pressure system is now classified as a strong tropical storm.

The strong tropical storm Imelda is currently stationary.

At 10 local time, on Sunday 14 April 2013, the strong tropical storm Imelda stood at 360 km in the North East of Mauritius and 570 km from the Reunion by the points 17 degrees 2 South and 59 degrees 4 East.

The estimated pressure at the center of the tropical storm Imelda is 980 hPa.

Mauritius and Rodrigues are now in alert 2, while Reunion, the prefect has triggered the pre-tropical cyclone alert.
