Germans increasingly seduced by the island of Mauritius
The tourist industry in Mauritius has decided to pamper German customers that continue to grow for more than a year. Positive figures that bring a smile to industry professionals.
Growth of 23.7% of tourists from Germany was thus raised in January 2013 and February showed a 10% increase in tourist arrivals compared to the same period in 2012.
The official delegation accompanying the Minister of Tourism Michael Sik Yuen in International Tourism Fair in Berlin (ITB), which closed its doors last Tuesday, evokes a real passion of Germans for Mauritius.
Mauritius has also been promoted "Destination of the Year 2013" by the famous tour operator "Design Reisen" and the magazine "Golf Aktuell" has in particular designated Mauritius as the best destination in 2012 for the practice of golf.
"Our efforts were not in vain. We are on track on the diversification of products and it is worth noting that most of the golf courses in Mauritius are among the best in the world," said the Tourism Minister Michael Sik Yuen.
965,441 foreign tourists have thus filed their case in Mauritius in 2012, including 55,186 German tourists, representing a growth rate of 0.1% compared to the year 2011.
