Counterfeit Whisky Johnnie Walker in circulation in Mayotte?

Counterfeit Whisky Johnnie Walker in circulation in Mayotte?
Several bottles stamped Johnnie Walker on labels in circulation in Mayotte would actually be counterfeit whiskey.

It is the opinion of several experts of the Scottish brand who have raised the issue of the questionable provenance of the precious amber liquid on l'île aux parfums island.

Ben Hampson, Director of Diageo for Reunion and Mayotte, British group leader of alcohols and spirits, currently in Mamoudzou, issued the same verdict of disapproval, after tasting the whisky suspected counterfeited.
Two samples were sent for identification, one in Scotland to the Motherland and the second to the international federation of spirits.

According to the results, a legal action with complaint may be initiated against the producer and importer of counterfeit whiskey.
