Comoros: The United Nations System at the bedside of the archipelago for five years

Comoros and the United Nations System (UNS) have recently signed the United Nations Framework Plan for supporting the development of the Comoros (UNDAF / UNDAF *) for the period 2015-2019.
95 million dollars would be required in terms of financing for the implementation of the plan.
The main purpose is to improve the performance and the impact of cooperation for sustainable development at the heart of the archipelago and the welfare of the Comorian population by the year 2019.

"It allows among others to have a team ... united in order to have results on the ground, to the benefit of the poorest and most vulnerable populations," said Douglas Casson Coutts, the Resident Coordinator of the UN System in archipelago.
The UNDAF has set three strategic areas that will focus their efforts over the next five years, namely "promoting accelerated growth, diverse and sustainable, enhancing access to basic social services and household resilience and strengthening governance and building institutional and human resilience.
